2. Care for the injured.  Send for an ambulance and the Police.

4. Warn all traffic, oncoming and behind you, with flares and hazard signs.
5. Write down the other driver's name, address, and phone number, license number, and the date, time, and location of the accident. Consider also making a sketch.  You do not want to trust your memory under strained conditions.

10. Do not make any verbal statements or sign any statement except in response to a request from a Police Officer.  Get the name and badge number of any officers on the scene.
11. Secure all your valuables in and out of your vehicle.   Lock your vehicle doors if possible.
12. If your vehicle can not be driven safely, have it towed to your collision repair center.
13. Notify your insurance agent immediately.
